How many troops does every country in NATO have when you add them all together
Roughly three times the number as the US has alone when including reserves and paramilitary. About 5.8 million non-US NATO troops.

That is active duty only, but yes. We do have many more active troops than NATO does.
We also have far more commitments, the majority of which are not in Europe, and more global entanglements than the rest of NATO. Plus a much larger population.

The alliance has increased its NATO Response Force deployments in Eastern Europe,[8] and the combined militaries of all NATO members include around 3.5 million soldiers and personnel.

I expect Russia or China to do something similar again when or if we put missiles in Poland like the Poles and Baltic States are begging us to do.

Do you think they will be involved directly in the fighting? I expect heavy losses on both sides.

If its from the link you posted, yes. My earlier number included reserves, which is a large portion of some of the European militaries, the eastern European ones in particular.

According to Gen Cavoli the NATO Allied Commander, Russia is basically back to pre-war strength.

In Ukraine? Not at this time. The response forces composition rotates and has expanded to all of the Baltic states, plus Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Romania now.
Each force has its own command and different nations militaries stationed there. The US isn't even involved in some of them.

Wouldn't surprise me, though I expect they have taken at least a half step back on their more advanced systems. They ramped up production big time, but have had to go to their old stockpiles for tanks and missiles, etc.
Russia will never be a military or entity to take lightly. They are not weak by any means.
But I do not think Russia believes it is in their interest to fight NATO, conventionally or nuclear. Its a lose-lose for them. They can't win a conventional war against NATO, and no one wins a nuclear one.

Daily Mail “Revealed - NATO plan to get US troops to the front line to fight RUSSIA: Alliance prepares for rapid deployment of American soldiers amid fears Moscow is plotting major war with Europe” This must be what the OP Twitter post was referring to. There is no way this is happening, lol. People would revolt if Biden sends US troops to the front lines to be the first in a rotation. Body bags coming back from Ukraine, no way.

I agree. I don't see any chance of that happening absent a Russian attack on a NATO nation directly. Even then I would have to imagine that our resources would flow that direction, not immediately to the stagnant front line in Ukraine.

The US can't stop what's going to happen to Ukraine.

Biden was saying how the Russian military was devastated. He fact checked Time Magazine over it. Which I guess at 1 time it was, so technically he did not lie, lol.

Its well past time for a ceasefire. The US and EU need to live in reality.

Logistics is something the US military excels at going back to the Civil War and Grant. Grant was the master of logistics. It's something that is overlooked when discussing his abilities and that of the Union.
WWI . Pershing does not join the fray until he had requisite strength and adequate supplies and a ready supply scheme in place.
I saw a video by a YouTuber...... Ryan McBeth who is a C4ISR by trade who examines strengths, etc and he made an interesting observation about the NATO and US forces. His contention was that little things can mean a lot in terms of military advantage and he has cited Pull logistics as one of our great strengths as well as how we transport. We palletize our supplies. As such we can get the right stuff in standardized amounts to where we need it and it is easy to transport and disperse.. Even rockets . We have an easy reload system and can stage locations better. We can load HIMARs relatively quick. Fire them off and reload in minutes....even stage the payloads in pre determined locations for instance. Same for ATACMS. it's like having a clip vs. a revolver.

CNN “Russia’s jamming of US-provided rocket systems complicates Ukraine’s war effort”
quote:
Russia has been thwarting US-made mobile rocket systems in Ukraine more frequently in recent months, using electronic jammers to throw off its GPS guided targeting system to cause rockets to miss their targets, multiple people briefed on the matter told CNN.

So? You are talking about the HIMARS. I'm aware of the issue but I'm speaking of the ease of use of systems like that. I can get 3× the launch of a HIMAR or ATACMS in the time it takes for Russians to fire their batteries and reload. We can fire, go, reposition set up and fire again before the Russians can reset Katyusha batteries.
The ATACMs are not facing the same problems, however we apparently are not supplying at the same level.
