This is not how it works. I am nearly 100% certain. The people that actually protect the motorcades are behind the scenes in "nondescript" GMC box trucks that have all sorts of fancy surveillance gear attached. In addition to the surveillance equipment they have commandoes inside armed and ready to lay waste to anyone in the area if need be.
The "outside threat" bullshite doesn't fly. Nothing fricking happened in DC. No riots, nothing. And why? Because Donald Trump told them to stay home.

You see, Biden is compromised by China. Anyone who is being honest with themselves frickin' knows it too. Which means that DC is currently "occupied territory."
The military is now duty bound to draw this to a close and oversee new elections.

Looks like it was by unit - one facing fwd & the other facing away.
Also noted that many of the "away" facers were black.
