Nancy will not hand over Impeachment until next week

After tomorrow, who gives a rat's butt? Other than Schumer being in charge ...They don't have the votes to VIOLATE the Constitution. Nothing in the Constitution applies to impeaching a President who is a private citizen.

She can stick that ceremonial impeachment pen up her arse

They want to keep smearing him even when he's out of public office. That's all it's about.

So the first thing the new Congress will do is vote to remove the old president from office?
I couldn’t think of anything more unifying

Supposedly, if the FULL impeachment goes through, he will not be allowed to run for office ever again.
Can a consititition scholar comment on this?

What better way to justify keeping a standing Army in DC after the inauguration is over?
And then the next reason. And the next...
And then the next reason. And the next...

This is exactly it. They want to knock his dick in the dirt, and with him, the people who voted for him.

You can't impeach a private citizen

Probably better for America if they do in fact stay bogged down on such as this

Alan Derschowitz already has and he says it's nonsense. Just like last time they're entirely fictional impeachment articles.

The entire thought process is so retarded. So, one day if the right gains control of the house and senate again, they can just up and impeach Obama...former President?

The senate won't get the votes needed anyway

Impeachment is for a sitting president. In a few hours he will no longer be sitting. Senate will never convict anyway. This is a non issue and a waste of peoples time.
Does Joe really want to tie up his 1st 100 days with this BS? If this is transmitted to the Senate then zero other business can take place. Does he really want the republicans jamming up and slow rolling the process for weeks while nothing gets done? Joe will probably tell Nancy to shred those articles if he is smart.

False. The President would be barred from holding office but I don’t see where Trump would be barred for campaigning (i.e. running).

He's already been impeached.
And do you honestly think a little thing like a constitutional roadblock would prevent them from doing it anyway and saying "sue us"?

Were he to be convicted.... it would still require another vote to bar him from running for office ever again. A conviction on it's own doesn't do that.
