House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi may face complications in her bid to become speaker of the chamber.
Ten Democratic incumbents or members-elect have told Politico they will vote against Pelosi for speaker.
Democratic Reps. Ed Perlmutter of Colorado, Kathleen Rice of New York, Seth Moulton of Massachusetts, Bill Foster of Illinois, Tim Ryan of Ohio, Filemon Vela of Texas, Kurt Schrader of Oregon and Conor Lamb of Pennsylvania all said they were in the anti-Pelosi camp, the news outlet reported.
The campaigns of Reps.-elect Abigail Spanberger and Jason Crow have also said they will not vote for the California Democrat as House speaker.

No surprise there. He's been trying to become leader himself.

She's probably too moderate for todays Democrats.

If he backs her, she will lose for sure.

Wasnt there something like 30+ dems that made campaign promises to not vote for Pelosi as speaker? GOP needs to force their hand by moving forward with nominating Jim Jordan or Scalise for Speaker and uniting behind one of them. Force the Dems to pick between either allowing a Republican to be Speaker or having to break their campaign promise on the very first vote by voting for Pelosi to ensure Dem votes aren’t split between multiple candidates and allowing GOP to win Speakership

Yall still don't understand. They don't vote to decide speaker of the house.
They are TOLD who is going to be speaker of the house and X number of democrats will be ALLOWED to vote against NP so that they can continue to trick stupid arse voters that they are someone that they are not.
But X is never enough to override the others.

Yes it is. They are suggesting that a failed gubernatorial candidate, non House member who pushes for Socialism be Speaker of the House.
I hope they do it. 2020 would be a bloodbath.

NP would be the best outcome for Trump, don't be surprised if R's make sure she has enough votes.

If those Democrats are mental health professionals, Pelosi won’t survive a competency challenge.

This could be interesting. Maybe the more-moderate Dems unite with more-moderate GOP Reps to elect a non-ideologue as Speaker.
For non-Texans, see Joe Straus.

Joe strays was horrid
RINO =“non-ideologue”
Only republicans are that stupid.
I don’t think the 3 “more moderate” democrats could pull that off.

june kr 45 minutes ago I like both Pelosi and Abrams. Seems there is still an outside chance that she win her race. Meanwhile, let's see if Hillary wants the job. If nothing else, just naming her as a possible speaker candidate it would probably induce a few coronaries .
Lol! Pls do this, thrust crooked back into the spotlight as the face of ur party, I dare u.
