My patient today was quite the Anti-trumpet

11 year old African American girl was sitting in my chair today. Assistant and I were looking at our calendar in the room and happened to randomly notice "Lincoln's birthday" listed and began chatting about Honest Abe. Patient had no earthly idea who Abraham Lincoln was. Went on to tell her that he was a great President of the United States and the first one to be assassinated. She responded, "hopefully Donald Trump will be the second."
We were stunned when she said this. Didn't really know how to respond. It's just unreal and honestly very sad that children can be raised to have such radical viewpoints at such a young age (not to mention not know who Abraham Lincoln is!?!)
Just figured I'd share as it was a pretty eye-opening experience. What is going on with this world

Most kids that age do know who Lincoln is, she does;t know because she is a fricking idiot, she also didn't know that Trump couldn't be the second US President assassinated because she is a fricking idiot. You can't fix stupid.

Black people have been voting at a 95% clip for Democrats since the 60's even though the Democrats have never done a damn thing for them. They also have a serious issue when it comes to parenting with the majority of black dads being absent from their children's lives. Black people consistently perform far below all other races when it comes to education.

You'd be correct. Wanted to educate her but hard to in that situation. Essentially just told her it's not right to say that and I think Donald Trump will be a very good president. We don't wish harm on anyone yada yada.
