That is a decision only you should make.
Get it or don't get it. I'll respect you the same either way.

Took J&J vax. Had Covid a few weeks after.
J&J vax made me sick about 12 hours after. The peak of the vax symptoms was worse than my Covid symptoms. Symptoms lasted about 36 hours.
Had breakthrough case of Covid. Had flu-like symptoms for 3-1/2 days. Received antibody infusion. Was symptom free in 24 hours.
I'm still alive.

The shot is worthless, but do not let it prevent you from getting paid.
You will probably live.

Son and I got the J&J shot. Me in May, him in July. Both of us laid up not feeling well for 1-2 days after.
I got Covid in August. Felt like having the flu for 4 days. Wife got it from me. Son never got it.
There really doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason with this virus.

Thanks for the accolades!

100% get it.
It’s traditional tech and it will help protect you. I get it, 99.5% survival blah blah blah. But I care for the people whose bodies, for whatever reason, cannot handle the virus well. 9/10 of them have been unvaccinated and to a person they all regretted not getting a vaccine.
The math is easy for me and that’s J&J all day long.

I got the J&J shot in April, it's the only "flu" like shot, and I've had not issues. Know several people who have had it, and no issues.

So you want to skip the mRNA that doesn't enter your cells' nuclei in favor of a DNA vaccine that does. Brilliant!
Can you explain this a little bit more? I am totally open to hearing why I shouldn't get the J&J.

Honestly I'd be okay with this - I just don't want something God-awful to happen to me. I'm in arguably the best shape of my life (especially factoring in my age and how I look / feel given it).

It makes zero sense for a healthy person to get a vaccine that has the potential to kill them (even if small) because some unhealthy people may die from Covid, who also had the opportunity to get the vaccine.

The main types of COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the U.S. or being studied include:
Messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine. (Pfizer/Moderna)This type of vaccine uses genetically engineered mRNA to give your cells instructions for how to make the S protein found on the surface of the COVID-19 virus. After vaccination, your immune cells begin making the S protein pieces and displaying them on cell surfaces. This causes your body to create antibodies. If you later become infected with the COVID-19 virus, these antibodies will fight the virus.
After delivering instructions, the mRNA is immediately broken down. It never enters the nucleus of your cells, where your DNA is kept. Both the Pfizer-BioNTech and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines use mRNA.
Vector vaccine. (J&J/AstraZeneca)In this type of vaccine, genetic material from the COVID-19 virus is placed in a modified version of a different virus (viral vector). When the viral vector gets into your cells, it delivers genetic material from the COVID-19 virus that gives your cells instructions to make copies of the S protein. Once your cells display the S proteins on their surfaces, your immune system responds by creating antibodies and defensive white blood cells. If you later become infected with the COVID-19 virus, the antibodies will fight the virus.
Viral vector vaccines can't cause you to become infected with the COVID-19 virus or the viral vector virus. Also, the genetic material that's delivered doesn't become part of your DNA. The Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is a vector vaccine. AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford also have a vector COVID-19 vaccine.
Protein subunit vaccine(traditional). (Novavax)Subunit vaccines include only the parts of a virus that best stimulate your immune system. This type of COVID-19 vaccine contains harmless S proteins. Once your immune system recognizes the S proteins, it creates antibodies and defensive white blood cells. If you later become infected with the COVID-19 virus, the antibodies will fight the virus.
Novavax is working on a protein subunit COVID-19 vaccine.
But I wouldn’t get any of them if you’re healthy, because it makes zero sense.

Thanks. I def don’t want to get it. I might decide to wait until I get formally offered and pray I still have a choice as to what vaccine to get then.

If I had to be held down and forced to get it one, it would definitely be novavax, but I’m not sure when it will be released.

Yea. Your not the stand your ground type. Get your money. Nothing wrong with that. We are resisting tyranny here. Not too concerned with being part of the crowd. Get it if you believe it works not because you're excited about the rewards of being in the group.
This isnt your cause. I hope you stand when they come for my guns. Unless they offer you a promotion at that job. That will be your ground zero of caving.
The opportunity we have to resist and we take the money. We're RINOs.

J&j does exact same thing as Pfizer, except it enters your cells using different method. Novavax is the only one being developed for the USA which is "flu shot like".
