no just a point.
here's another related point
30000 children under that age of five die everyday mainly due to preventable cause, where you an ominipotent skydaddy would you allow that suffering or would you reveal yourself and do something about it.
so either God is impotent or immoral for doing nothing or maybe he doesnt exist.
please dont run to original sin arguments because appealing to authority of the Bible and Genesis just doesnt cut it.

If you're using our modern cultural American concept of morality (lol we won't even get into how fallacious this assumption this) then why should God give a frick about us?

Our understanding of death is extremely limited.
How are you so sure that this is a bad thing for those kids?
From a god's point of view.

God works in mysterious ways, its the argument William lane Craig uses to excuse the infanticide of the Old Testament by God, but according to man made religion, those babies if not saved are damned to eternal hell.
so back to more at hand question which is it..is God impotent or immoral, he has the power to intervene in the suffering of innocents but chooses not to, those would be your only two choices according to scripture, unless you can provide some scripture that says otherwise...i dont know of any though.

Or He could choose to join intimately in the suffering so as to not be a hypocrite.
His Son on the Cross. God knows/experienced exactly the worst kind of suffering man can endure.
It's willfully ignorant to buy into the "him up there, man down here abandoned" mantra. But many do. So there's that.

My friend you are either expressing a fundamental lack of understanding on many crucial points or you are intentionally misrepresenting certain subjects to bolster your argument. Now the Bible says that God is omnipotent HOWEVER he has drawn his own limits to this power. God gave mankind free will as a gift and operating in this free will, Adam was beguiled by Satan and squandered his dominion over the earth and ceded it to an extent to Satan for a finite time. As man found himself in a sinful condition, WE collectively have created a state and platform where death, starvation, and plagues have a foothold in some areas. Yes Satan has a role in that as well but God does intervene where he can with the provisions in place in the Bible. God can't violate certain constraints our actions and decisions as free moral agents have placed upon him in this time of mankind. That will change eventually but mankind has pretty much hurt ourselves and are reaping what we have sown collectively.
To address another point you espoused, I don't know of any religion who teaches that a mere child who hasn't reached an age of accountability will go to Hell. There might be a sect(s) that preaches that but I would contend they are misguided and not scripturally sound in their theology.
quote:

He is neither. God does intervene where he is able. Mankind, as I noted before, has allowed sin and Satan a foothold here where even God has to abide by certain constraints in this age. As an example since you asked for it and not to turn this into an apologetics session, Jesus was challenged as to his authority to be upon the earth LEGALLY by some of the demons he was confronting. The demons knew there were certain provisions set forth and boundaries established that God could not violate thus they challenged Jesus because they knew he was God and had come to earth yet they had not understood the manner in which it had happened. I say that to let you understand that there are Universal laws and boundaries that God himself set forth which precludes him from just showing up and ending human suffering. It pains God to see this suffering BUT a higher purpose is there by giving mankind a free will to be their own moral agents even if it means it was the causation of the condition we find ourselves in presently.

You cant use the original sin argument because Adam and Eve didnt fricking exist. That is appealing to authority logical fallacy by appealing to the authority of the Bible and we know the existence of Adam and Eve is just bullshite.
Forget scripture just assume we have an Omnipotent diety watching over us.
Is the Creator of the Universe impotent or immoral, because in the end, with your lack of evidence to suggest he does intervene that is what you are left with.
and what is the difference b/n and innocent child not saved and a buddhist not saved. Nothing, both are going to burn for eternity according to Christian religions.

I have enough evidence for me, thus my belief system. You don't, thus yours.
I'm cool with that.
