it's crazy to think that this is a real thing that could happen in America in 2023.

He has the money to not only fight the government in this, but has the access to make it insanely public.
While SCOTUS has yet to rule on anything in this realm (fedgov pressuring social media outlets to carry/block narratives), what the federal government has done has been a blatant violation of the First Amendment (of both its writing and intent) by attempting to end-run around 1A by pressuring social media into being their proxy in squelching speech the government doesn't agree with. It should be seen as no different than some government liaison sitting in every newspaper and broadcast news newsroom telling them what they can/can't (or even just should/shouldn't) publish.
In the current SCOTUS makeup, I would think such a case would be at least 7-2 (Justices Diversity Hire and Wise Latina being on the OMGILUVFACSCISM side of the argument if even they could be so ideologically blinded).

The FBI never threatened any social media companies with jail time in 2020. They just “warned” the companies about certain stories being potentially false and because the companies were ran by anti-American liberals, the companies were happy to use “warnings” as justification to censor content.

You don't know this. You also don't know what kind of massive blackmail files the three letters keep on Zuck, Dorsey, et. al.

Would Trump pardon Elon?
Would Desantis?
Would Haley?

That you actually believe this...

Musk won't have to go to jail. The advertising boycott is meant to put x out of business before the election.

How deep is the deep state? Is it bottomless depth?
If Elon ends up dead.
That's how deep it is...

Mad respect to Elon.
Most wouldn't have the balls to say this even if they knew they would never be arrested.

So if a FBI agent knocks on your door with a complaint against you, do you take this as a "warning" or a "threat"? Today's FBI?
