I'm pissed that all of the artists and groups I grew up listening to all turned weird, pedo and hateful towards real American citizens who made them filthy rich in the past

I'm okay as long as they don't go completely off the rails. I never cared for Springsteen, but I wouldn't listen to him now even if I did. Linda Ronstadt is a lefty, but she never made a big deal out of politics.

Same thing with Hollywood. Jack Nicholson is definitely a Lefty, but he was friendly with everybody and didn't make politics a litmus test. Unlike radical idiots like Jane Fonda, Rob Reiner, Robert DeNiro, etc.

Unless their politics are overtly referenced in the music itself, you’re mentally ill if you even know what their beliefs are.

That was my first thought. I have no idea what the politics of any of the bands I listened to today are.

If I only could listen to musicians who agree with me on everything, I would only listen to myself.

Me, too. The Bush family is just as despicable as the Clintons.

It is hard to enjoy music you once liked after a musician goes crazy politically. I understand there are differences in what people believe, but some have crossed a line that is too far.

If I couldn’t I would never be able to enjoy great music.

The fact is most of the greatest musicians are liberal.

Absolutely. I’m listening to Pink Floyd right now.

To a certain extent, yes. If they start calling Republicans fascists, racists, etc, I'm out.

I've been a PJ super fan since the first time I heard them. Vedder is a bleeding heart "liberal" who believes in global citizenship, one love type stuff. A harmless hippie. He would make an excellent boss at a co-op.

Some other artists, their beliefs are rooted in anti neocon beliefs but that shipped sailed long ago. They want to fight the man, and the machine, but fail to realize the party they support almost entirely runs by statism. I've seen some just go with police bad because they all vote Republican, and they stick with that.

Are there republicans/ conservative rock stars?
Skillet and Twenty-One Pilots are devout christians

Falling in Reverse are about as anti-woke as they come

Shinedown's Planet Zero is about the evils of cancel culture and tearing down statues

And progressives are not liberal in any sense. They are statists.

Whatever they are, they seem to live in a bubble and have difficulty understanding the common man

My favorite band is Ice 9 Kills

They are non-political, but have been accused of being right wing recently for unknown reasons

They make horror-themed music

here is their homage to Resident Evil

Their pronouns are Us and Them.

To answer the question, no. I don’t reallly think about that when I stream music unless the song itself is political or something
