All you have to do to reduce 'crime rate statistics' is to not prosecute crimes.
Chicago's infamous "carjacking" reduction, where most of the charges are reduced to criminal trespassing or possession of a stolen vehicle. The actual percentage of people arrested for carjacking.....three percent, and of those many were juveniles and treated as such when sentenced.

Who ordered it to be done is the question
Well the former Chief of Police, Pamela Smith, resigned in Dec. but of course admitted to dindu nuffin.
If I recall one of the major components was that they weren’t including any juvenile violent crime data at all to both local & federal agencies.

Juvenile Crime Statistics
While the broader scandal centers on misclassifying the type of crime, the reporting of juvenile crime has also been a major point of contention:
Tracking Differences: Juvenile arrests are tracked and reported differently than adult arrests, which critics argue masks the true impact of youth involvement in violent crimes like carjackings and robberies.
Rising Trends: Independent data from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) shows that while overall crime was being reported as down, juvenile arrests have been trending upward since 2020.
Public Perception: Critics suggest that by focusing on "overall crime" decreases while keeping juvenile-specific data in less prominent reports, the city created a "false illusion of safety" regarding youth-involved violence

TDSFP says Democrat policies have been the cause of reduced crime
He’s right. The democrat policy of lying about crime stats has led to a reduction in the number of reported crimes

Obviously, they were told to do this. This is one more example of just how intensely the corrupt Political Establishment wants to get rid of President Trump. They will even do everything possible in an attempt to denigrate or even discredit any and all Trump accomplishments.
Hopefully, a few will come forward and expose where the directive to do this came from.
