Mueller testimony will be a big fat dud for both sides.

Change my mind.

Mueller knows the questions he will be asked by both sides. He will simply refer to the very poorly written and ambiguous report.

I predict both sides will be let down equally.

I think your prediction is correct

he can't say anything different than what is in his report or else he will be committing perjury.

what a big waste of time and our tax dollars

...with a lot of melodrama and parsing of words to divine meanings that don't exist.

Serious question - I'm not strong on the legal knowledge so I'm curious how that would be perjury.

I agree but if there is anything that will benefit either R or D coming from his testimony, I believe it will benefit the R's more simply because they will actually have people with functioning brains cross-examining Mueller...

Don’t mistake the Dems as being complete fools.

Even the ones that might not be the sharpest will be prepared by capable people.

Mueller will decline to answer any republican questions that isn’t already covered in the report.

You have watched the other hearings held by this committee, correct?

Hence the Republican advantage in the situation...

I kinda agree. I believe Mueller, when asked a question by a Democrat, will go into great detail. It will be to reinforce "orange man bad". Then when asked a question by a Republican, he will duck and dodge or just be like Comey and say "i don't know" or "i can't recall". That's how I see it. In the end it will be a dud.

The Dems are the ones who actually subpoenaed him, so that means whatever happens they believe it will benefit only them.

Mueller is a Dem puppet, and just like his bullshite theatrical press conference where he turned the “Innocent until proven guilty” rule of law on its head, we all know damn well he’s going to do this again, except probably by an even greater factor.

The Dems are going to come away from this claiming Mueller is telling them Impeachment proceedings are necessary. In fact, don’t be surprised if he indirectly says it by answering “yes” to a question about “if he could, would he”.

The Republicans will get nothing but spin, deflection, and word parsing from him.

Mueller and the Dems have had months to prepare for this. They have surely been passing scripted questions and answers back and forth already and rehearsing what to say when Republicans ask theirs.

The entire purpose of this is to give credence to and a justification for the Dems to move forward with impeachment proceedings. And Mueller is in on it with them. There is zero doubt about that.

Like his presser, he will drop little verbal bombs for the media designed to hurt POTUS. He wont incriminate anyone, and the testimony wont affect anything, but his words will fuel the anti-Trump news cycle for a week.

I what the Reps to ask about the DNC server hack and the emails that got into Wikileaks hands.

Mr. Mueller, did your special counsel review the DNC servers?

Did the FBI review the DNC servers?

The DNC emails that were published by Wikileaks, did Wikileaks work with Russians to obtain those emails?

The Podesta emails that were published by Wikileaks, did Wikileaks work with Russians to obtain those emails?

Is it FBI policy to not subpoena evidence and to rely on the conclusions of a redacted report by a conflicted contractor, Crowdstrike, as the basis to assert that Wikileaks worked with the Russians to obtain DNC emails?

Do you think it would have been appropriate for the FBI to subpoena the DNC server or not?

I don't believe any Rep will go down this path. Hope I'm wrong.

Yep. Just like the Mueller press conference, this is being done to keep Russia in the news cycle. A chance to keep the drumbeat going.

Will be seen as mean ol Republican next to reasonable, sensible Democrats.

There isn’t anything Mueller won’t be prepared for.

People will hear the same things, and interpret them differently depending on their political beliefs.

This would only be a "let down" for the left.
