but Trump can't fire ANYBODY to obstruct justice.

It's impossible for the president to obstruct justice if all he is doing is exercising his own proper and constitutional authority. It's not illegal.

In fact, Mueller's own power as Special Counsel is a power he drives from the executive branch which is headed by the President. In other words, he's acting with the President's power.

Richard Nixon fired Archibald Cox and then was impeached for, among other things, obstruction of justice.

Impeachment is a political solution that is within Congress domain. They can impeach for literally anything at all.

But however, prosecutors and the courts can only try and convict for violations of the penal code.

Wasn't much of an effort considering that Sessions is still AG. Unfortunately.

Let's face it: BBonds was talking out his arse.

"I helped prosecute Watergate. Comey’s statement is sufficient evidence for an obstruction of justice case." - Philip Allen Lacovara, counsel to Watergate special prosecutors Archibald Cox and Leon Jaworski.

Just one of many.

Here is what Sessions has accomplished as USAG:

Cowardly recusal that was unjustified
Nabbed a few MS13 peeps
Pissed off half the nation with his fixation on weed

Time to fire him. Get Pam Bondi in there.

When did we establish the Office of Chief Second Guesser?

If true, this is absolute bullshart.

That's tautological.

On the other hand, it's ENTIRELY possible for Trump to obstruct justice if he exercises his power in an improper and unconstitutional manner.

How many expert opinions do you need?

in the same sense the Steele Dossier was sufficient evidence for a FISA Warrant . . . . which is to say either this guy is lying, advocating for Dems, senile, or some combination.

Comey also said that Trump has made no effort to end the Russia probe and did not order him to end the Flynn probe.

Nixon instructed subordinates to commit a crime of perjury and concealed evidence and that constitutes an illegal act required for an obstruction case against the President.

Trump has done nothing illegal that would be required for an obstruction case.

Mueller can investigate attempts to unlawfully interfere with the Special Counsel investigation, and that includes possible obstruction of justice, perjury, etc. His investigation was underway prior to July.

We've already seen Mueller investigate and prosecute people for false statements. It's within the authority expressly granted in the regulations.

One that does not intimate POTUS cannot fire the AG. Because any opinion falling in that realm is inexpert (to be very kind).

Ah, Pam Bondi... the crook who accepted a $25000 bribe from Donald Trump to drop an investigation into Trump University.

Just his type of person.

Ok. Name the statute that supports the idea of the President obstructing justice if all he was doing was merely exercising his own constitutional authority and no illegal acts were committed.

Oh and a democrat Congress may agree with you on that notion but improper and unconstitutional manner doesn't exist in the penal code.

Yeah, all those other legal experts are senile, too.

And, by the way, NOBODY has asserted that the Steele dossier was sufficient evidence for a FISA warrant, so it's a bit hypocritical of you to accuse somebody else of lying. Par for the course with you, though.

That's a keyword here.

Trump has all the lawful authority in the world to manage the Mueller investigation including ordering the AG to rein him in or shut it down if necessary.

Mueller is acting with the President's power and the President can shut him down if he so chooses.

Dude, you're saying he didn't commit a crime because he didn't commit a crime. Your statement is tautological and nonsensical.

Time will tell.

Correct, the observation would apply to any "legal expert" claiming the POTUS cannot fire his AG

That's right.

Name one statute so far that Mueller could charge Trump under right now.

Oh and I have all the expert opinion that I need in the United States Penal Code. Waiting for you to tell me where it's wrong.
