So you vote for a regime that does and promote the ideology of those who think like that?

Why?

The easy way, or the easier way. Their choice.

I'm betting most people would say, "Nah, frick all that, I'm staying home."

A lot of people seem to forget that half of Americans have a below average intelligence. In a country of 330 million people, that means 165 million people are below average intelligence.

Now you want to assume that millions of people who aren't even smart enough to hold down a job are going to contemplate where they could live in a more ideologically friendly place, and then conjure up the means to actually relocate.

I think it would be easier if we all just figured out how to live with one another.

I don't think there's any easy way to extricate those red people from northern California.

And what's more, I'm not interested in uprooting Americans from their homes, and taking their land from them.

But, damn, if this is what Conservatism look like, I'd hate to see Neoliberalism.

I totally agree.
Most people will not be bothered enough by the political environment around them to move.
I was speaking more of people who become proper unhinged over their state’s inevitable independence decision(s).

Yeah but that would dampen the clicks that rage merchants need so desperately.

They'll come around when the upper echelon of government is only interested in securing the individual rights of all its citizens and provides zero support for fantasies such as "equity as opposed to equality" - or trying to make sure that nobody is ever 'offended' by something.

We would need a real constitution-enforcing government, not a constitution-enhancing govt.

The American ideal is that every man is treated as his own individual, responsible for his own progress, protected from criminal assault, and protective of the culture that produced these rights. That is in the DNA of all true 'Americans' = AND we are a CHARITABLE people, meaning we voluntarily step in to assist in true emergencies, but be are selective in who, when, how much, where to offer our charity. The moment the 'receiver' of our charity starts making demands on how much, when, where, and to whom it must be 'given' we are free to say 'fu' and go on abour our lives.

To hell with this 'demand charity' and 'no obligaitions' segment of society - let them go where others support them or where they feel good with their 'virtue signaling'

In a nation that has created a massive welfare-dependent VOTING BLOC - there is nothing that will cure the ills except forced separation. If you refuse to support yourself - just go on over there to that other state where they will satisfy your desires.

That's hard to do when one side of the aisle always wants handouts and more gun control laws after every mass shooting.

Conservatives just want to be left alone.

China is loving this.

We just need more people to stand up against cancel culture and say enough with the BS. Republicans are spineless, only a handful of people like Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, Joe Rogan, are calling out the Dems, and not enough people are listening.

BTW, when did Howard Stern get woke?

Whoa, whoa, whoa, what is THAT supposed to mean? The "State" just makes a "decision"? Not even a plebiscite?

So much for small government. This is starting to smack of tyranny.

No.
That’s a chilling proposition.
I was referring to a democratically held referendum/vote.

Marge is a moronic POS .. but this might be the one thing she is right about .

I think, in theory, a national divorce could be a great thing.. but the main, huge problem with it is that we have too many people of varying political ideologies spread throughout every state.. I am a Registered Independent[tm], and a fairly moderate person.. but i have lived in both CA and in TX; while in California, i was considered a right-leaning, conservative type.. when i lived in Texas, i was accused more than once of being left-leaning …. Also, fwiw, i met WAY more rednecks in CA - away from the coast- than i ever met while living in TX and Louisiana … I say all that to say that it isnt as simple as ‘Pick a state and move to it’, since we have millions of elderly and disabled citizens who cant just pick up and leave .

Oh, I didn't realize this was just about getting blue people out of red states, and not to include getting red people out of blue states as well.

But what about purple people?

Or green people?

Or just kind of grey people?
