Mild to moderate symptoms. Would you consider icu and supplemental oxygen mild or even moderate? I would imagine the pneumonia is bacterial and not viral.

Are they able to get Paxlovid? I would do everything you could to get that, and I would try everything else everyone has recommended too.

I'm sure we do. You think research means believing exactly what the media tells you, while I believe it means reading the source documents for myself.

Good point MrLSU. I forgot to mention that in my posts. Rotate through positions and don't just stay on the back.

Breathing excercises and aparatus to work and expand the lungs. This helped my dad when he was on O2 with Covid pneumonia.

I'm not sure what access you have in the ICU but I would push and push and do whatever it takes to get in there and advocate for her and encourage her and do these excercises. If she is covid negative, you should be allowed in there IMO.

We will be praying for her, and ask God to protect Louisiana from this illness and the whole world. We ask God to guide the hands and minds of the Drs treating this illness and shine the light on the correct care she will need to fully recover. May God send legions of His angels to her side during this time to help her recover.

I’m wondering if the guidance is all that great.

Well when your trusted sources are infowars, Joe rogan and Tiger droppings, we’ll have to agree to disagree

Just an fyi, a lot of the stuff people are pushing in this thread...

Things like Ivermectin, HCQ, etc, probably work at least to some degree and are definitely worth trying, but your Doctor is unlikely to give them to you for...political reasons. So you may not be able to get them.

Your best bet is Paxlovid if your Hospital can get it. Its shown a lot of efficacy and your doctors will prescribe it, if they can get it.

At the same time, I would push behind the scenes and through every avenue you can get to try Ivermectin and HCQ and things like that as well, if you can't get the Pax or its not working.

Every option should be on the table, but go with the one you are most likely to get first while still pursuing every avenue.

Is it still viral pneumonia at this point? Perhaps bacterial or fungal depending on time since diagnosis? I've had pneumonia at least 15 times in the past four years. One of the reasons I'm heading to lung transplant in the not too distant future.

And what about the Lancet?

You seem to have skipped over that one?

This will be the easiest for the hospital to use. And if the data is even close to correct, it should help.

If they can even get it right now which I hear is the problem. Hopefully he can.

At the same time he should be pursuing every avenue, officially approved or not.

Like the WHO, CDC, NIH, FDA have pure motivations and don't sow misinformation.
It is due diligence to not solely rely on these entities when they have shown disregard for legitimate studies and ignored data and ignored successful therapeutics.

They approved a Pfizer pill within weeks, that functions the exact same way in prohibiting multiplication of the virus as Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine. yet for 2 years they haven't done any studies on these as therapeutics, ignored other studies, ignored success in other countries, and sent the propaganda media to bash these therapeutics.

There are a few Docs here in DFW that have ignored this thinking and prescribed Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine with additional protocols and out of hundreds and hundreds have lost a couple of people.

This is 100% false and doesn't work the same way as Ivermectin, and certainly not the same as Hydrox. They work completely differently.

I think they all probably have some efficacy, but they don't work the same.
