I’d still like to know what % of people that test positive actually end up in the hospital

About 18% of test given are positive...about 15% of those require hospitalization...about 5% of those become serious, as in ICU serious.

And the mortality rate? We won't get an accurate number on that until it's pretty much over...if ever really.

I just heard Glen Beck state the same thing only 12% of infected people need care.

So simple math here, ~200K x .12 = 24,000/50 states = 480 beds are needed per state for all patients...and that would be if everyone got sick all at once. That 200K is over a span of 3 weeks.

We have 88 counties in OHIO so 480/88 = 5.5 per county, so I would think urgent cares could handle this.

Bump, anybody want to retract their statements? So maybe the hospitals aren't being over run, I forgive your people that doubted me.

My wife is a respiratory therapist at a Baton Rouge hospital. But for a donation of ventilators from Tesla, as of this week her hospital would have no available vents for any patients covid or otherwise.

The hospital is not being overrun, but it's conceivable that it could happen.
