According to federal law, these are the holidays officially recognized by the U.S. government. Notice how there’s only one religious holidays on this list:

-New Year's Day (January 1).
-Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. (Third Monday in January).
-Washington's Birthday (Third Monday in February).
-Memorial Day (Last Monday in May).
-Independence Day (July 4).
-Labor Day (First Monday in September).
-Columbus Day (Second Monday in October).
-Veterans Day (November 11).
-Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November).
-Christmas Day (December 25).

Christmas is the only religious holiday that’s also a government holiday. The U.S. officially recognizes the birthday of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!

-Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November).

Thanksgiving started as (and in many places, still is) thanking God for such a bountiful harvest. (see: First Thanksgiving)

The current form of observance as a federal holiday has been happening every year since 1864 when President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens". Prior to 1864 the observance was hit-n-miss.

It’s on a Sunday so they are already closed to observe the holiday. But they have Easter celebrations at the White House!

Not much bigger snowflakes than christians. Hopefully each Starbucks coffee comes with a manger scene so we don't have to hear about the down spiral of the USA on fox for 2 months.

Christmas Day (December 25).

A western secularly appropriated holiday that the Christians appropriated from a pegan holiday which was appropriated from another pegan religion?

Yep.
