It’s pretty simple, counties have varying populations and the biggest counties are going to be home to urban centers that skew democrat.

That is exactly why I posted OLD information....people conveniently forget. And the same scenario could prove true again in a few months.

The amount of counties someone won will never be impactful.

the only fact that matters is that there were far more ballots than there were people who legally submitted a ballot.

Man, I am so glad you emphasized these facts.....
You can't get 10 gallons of shite in a 5-gallon bucket, unless you are a DEM!

Yea. Abolishing the electoral college would be a good start.

Yea, because allowing two shithole states no one can afford to buy a gallon of milk in determine an election is a brilliant idea!

American cities are all substantially more Democratic today than in 2008; that includes suburban counties as well.

In 2008 many heavily populated suburban counties, Orange County, CA, Gwinnett and Cobb Counties, GA, Fort Bend County TX have gone solid blue today after being red back then. And inner cities with pops. over 500,000, except for two, are all solidly blue today; the only two outliers are both in Oklahoma.

Then why did Joe win only about 40% of the counties Obama did? Adding substantial numbers of votes and , according to you, flipping urban areas blue, should result in more counties won, not significantly less.

POPULAR VOTE - Biden wins popular vote by 7,059,740 votes
Biden 81,283,495
Trump 74,223,755
Other 2,924,869

TOTAL MARGIN IN CA AND NY = 7,096,710

New York - Biden wins New York by ~ 2 million votes
Biden 5,244,886 Trump 3,251,997 difference = 1,992,889

California- Biden wins California by ~ 5 million votes
Biden 11,110,250 Trump 6,006,429 difference = 5,103,821

It is not good. Because you've misunderstood this

quote:

Normal turnout for an election is 66% or about two thirds...

Turnout calculated that way is the percentage of people eligible to vote who voted. It is not the percentage of people who are registered to vote who voted.

Read my earlier post, in regard to small population rural counties in the South flipping from blue to red. As recently as the early years of the 2000's there were at least 20 small rural Texas counties, mostly in the eastern part of the state, that had voted reliably Democratic since Reconstruction. All of them are now Republican, but since they're rural and have populations less than 20,000, the impact is negligible. And the same results have seen throughout the South, in particular.

About 2 million of that was in Los Angeles county alone.

He lost 40% from Obama 2012. Not from early 2000.
All while gaining massive votes.

The Biden v Trump is explainable based on winning the big cities verses the rest of the country. There is NO explaining Biden v Obama. Cities didn’t grow that much during that time…they just magically ALL voted, both dead and alive.

While he won less than Obama did in 2008, it was not half the counties. More like he won 2/3ds.

Also, much like popular vote doesn’t determine the Presidency, neither does counties/parishes won.

Trump campaign needs to flip GA, PA and one other state. Win the damn election.

You guys just refuse to accept that there were sooooo many people that hate Trump and came out to vote against him.

It’s just a coincidence that they all live in a handful of counties.

And no this doesn’t mean the left lives in an echo chamber. It’s the right that lives in an echo chamber. One giant, 2500 county echo chamber that spans the entire country!

Fulton County, Ga had a total of 441,262 votes cast in 2016.

In 2020 they had 527,925 votes cast, 148,673 were absentee. There were 86,663 more votes cast in 2020 then 2016, which is essentially a 20% increase.

Because the rules for absentee votes got changed in the name of “COVID safety”. Doesn’t necessarily mean a bunch of fake ballots got dropped, though I’m sure that has been happening since the beginning of time. What it means is the laziest of the laziest who would never stand in line at a polling center, or bother requesting a mail-in ballot, or bother dropping off such mail-in ballot to a designated place, suddenly were able to vote from their couch and put the ballot in their mailbox.

Guess what side of the aisle 95% of those folks are likely to vote for.
