I don't support it, because there is a problem when people use it to kill people in schools.

Can do the same thing with handguns. Va Tech shooter did more without an AR.

If more bank robbers decided to use a Chevy as a get away car because they are popular would you support banning Chevy vehicles? People could just use any other vehicle and drive away all the same

this is the only Constitutional way to get an assault weapons ban,
so you should support it if that is what you really want

Do you not see the fault in your logic here? Should we ban UHaul trucks because that Uzbek guy ran over some people with one?

Banning a gun platform that is not any more inherently dangerous than dozens of other weapons that don’t look scary is addressing the absolute wrong thing.

What needs to be addressed is why these kids do what they do. And what can be done to prevent and detect future cases. Trying to ban the specific weapon that some of them choose is just silly, and counterproductive. Do you really think that a potential school shooter would just give up his plans if he had to use two glocks instead of an AR?

If the shooter would have used a semi automatic 12 gauge with buck shot the body count would have been much higher. Wanna ban shotguns too?

Absolutely. Can you imagine the carnage if someone went ballistic with buck shot in crowded classrooms? Or any close quarter situation for that matter? Focusing on the instrument used is simply the wrong approach.

ETA: as a side note, I want to say the AR15 is the most popular gun in America. Feel like I’ve heard or seen that stat somewhere. Even if not, they are immensely popular. How on earth would such a ban even be rolled out, much less enforced

Unless your goal was chipping away at the second amendment with a country full of mountaintops

Millions of people watch the Kardashians, therefore we should act like the Kardashians.

It's the most popular platform. If you ban it they will simply start using the next most popular platform. That's why you shouldn't support a ban on the AR-15. What's to stop them from using the same logic to ban the next rifle when it becomes the most popular? And the next one? And the one after that?

Their word? Lol

That’s the goal. Set a precedent then dismantle the second amendment piece by piece.

I agree with you there. I also think polls are useless as well. 90% of Americans believe there should be enhanced background checks. Congress responded with a resounding MEH.

A sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun with double-ought buckshot would render more carnage in these shootings. Anyone disagree?

Thats how they have dismantled the basic values of this country...piece by piece. Gramci's "Long march through the institutions". The motto of the Fabian Socialists is "The inevitability of incrementalism". In other words..."piece by piece".

Absolutely. The added kicker is that the frog would be made to feel guilty and shamed if it complained that it seemed that the water might be getting too hot!
