They dont fail when they get to the job market, they have the same quotas instituted by schools.

My 12 yo nephew got an 850 on a real practice SAT put on by Duke, so if we can find a way to check of minority he would have gotten a 900.
Nice..i'll make sure we start up with some good family history adjustments now, so in a few yrs it's legit...Warren style.

Would be curious to see what these factors are.

Each of the three categories has five sub-indicators that are indexed in calculating each student's adversity score. Neighborhood environment will take into account crime rate, poverty rate, housing values and vacancy rate. Family environment will assess what the median income is of where the student's family is from; whether the student is from a single parent household; the educational level of the parents; and whether English is a second language. High school environment will look at factors such as curriculum rigor, free-lunch rate and AP class opportunities. Together these factors will calculate an individual's adversity score on a scale of one to 100.
The part that troubles me the most: Parents and students never see the score, only the colleges.

Also it would be nice to know how screwed up it is to start.

I’ll help you with that. Junior year move to the hood and go to a sorry school, quit your job and get divorced. 100 point bonus for the win.

This has been going on for years after the Supreme Court said you could not discriminate by race (Bakke and UT case after Bakke).
So, the colleges have been circumventing the ruling by discriminating on other things that = race.
IE, 'we don't give extra points to blacks. We give extra points to students with kinky hair.'

So is the baseline white or Asian? Because apparently there’s a disadvantage for caucasians, too.
quote:
White students scored an average of 177 points higher than black students and 133 points higher than Hispanic students in 2018 results. Asian students scored 100 points higher than white students. The children of wealthy and college-educated parents outperformed their classmates

Don't they already use stuff like this, but it's internal?
