That doesn't even make sense.
Of course it does. Everyone (including Trump) knows that he cannot win and will not. It is even said repeatedly by hardcore Trump fans on here.
So you are ensuring 4 more years of Dem rule by voting for Trump in a primary for whatever point you are trying to make, instead of picking a better candidate.

He performed worse than down ballot candidates in virtually every election in every swing state, which is almost impossible to do.
There were between 5.5-6 million people in 2020 who voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but not Trump. There were a similar number of people in 2016 who did the same thing. The only difference was Dems blocked Green Party ballot access in the swing states in 2020. Jill Stein took over 132K votes from Hillary in PA/WI/MI, and Trump won those states by under 78K. If Stein wasn't on the ballot Trump would've lost those states and the Electoral College. Howie Hawkins, the Green Party candidate in 2020, was reduced to a write-in campaign and received under 15K votes in MI/WI/PA. Not only that, but the Libertarian ticket in 2016 was running as Democrat-lite. Bill Weld, Gary Johnson's running mate, constantly went on MSNBC to talk about how amazing Hillary Clinton was.
Trump literally can't win unless he has help from a spoiler candidate. In 2020 there was no Green Party candidate on the ballot in the swing states and Jo Jorgensen was not running as a Democrat like the Johnson/Weld ticket. Dems will block Manchin or RFK Jr. from appearing on the ballot if they run 3rd party as well.
Going back to the 5.5-6 million ticket-splitters in 2020 and 2016, the last time there was that volume of ticket-splitters was in 1996. That was because Bob Dole had to contend with a spoiler in Ross Perot. Perot's supporters voted Republican down the rest of their ballots. Trump didn't even have a spoiler to contend with. His 2 opponents have been the most hated Democrat in history and a 77 year-old with dementia, yet millions of people didn't vote for him but voted Republican down ballot. Trump had the weakest opponent on the entire ballot in both 2016 and 2020, yet millions of people who are Republican-leaning said "no thanks." That is an indictment of how shitty of a General Election candidate Trump is.

It does

I care about winning the general election. Trump has no shot at all in the general election. DeSantis, with Trump out of the way, does have a shot at winning the general election.
This isn't hard folks.

In case you were counting, he got less votes than his opponent in both elections.

The data is completely undeniable, even if you want to say that Biden won by cheating, the Republicans that were running down ballot presumable did not.
Well then sounds like it's settled. I guess Ron will get the nomination then?

It means you're voting for the weaker General Election candidate. We saw plenty of this in 2022.
-AZ Governor: Kari Lake over Kimberly Yee
-PA Senate: Oz over David McCormick
-NH Senate: Don Bolduc over Chuck Morse
-AZ Senate: Blake Masters over Mark Brnovich
-WI Governor: Tim Michels over Rebecca Kleefisch
Just to name a few.

I know Ron Desantis (see, remember being respectful?) will not win.
Its the wrong decision. I don't enjoy Democrat rule, but you obviously do.

Sounds like Ron should just win the Primary then.

You seem to be very unfamiliar with how General and Primary elections differ.
There is a long long long history, with many recent examples, of the "wrong" candidate winning a Primary.

He will not. Trump will win the Primary.
And then lose by A LOT more than he "did" last time.
I can beat my head up against a brick wall if I want to, and you people can drive head first into if you want to as well.

The majority of Independents, women, and the country hate Trump and want him to go away.
There's been an 8% swing (46% to 54%) in three elections from 2012 - 2020 of college educated whites voting for the Democratic candiate. Collee educated whites make up 28% of the electorate so this is a big swing. College educated white women went 58% for Biden in 2020.

Considering how retarded a lot of GOP Primary voters are, it'll be tough. GOP Primary voters gave the nominations to several weak GE candidates who went down in flames in 2022, and we haven't learned our lesson.
There's a real fetish for losing that many in the party have. My approach in primaries is I never vote for Republicans who have lost prior General Elections or Republicans who are horrific General Election candidates.

Trumpers want to lose, gives them bragging rights

I would believe any degree of disgust with Trump - what I can't believe is that more than 25% of this nation supports Biden.
