The ONLY reason he won was the Green Party, and that is an incontrovertible fact.

I voted for him twice. I even liked most of his policies.
In retrospect, he did a pretty lousy job in many things and is a horrendous candidate.

Since this is a sports site let me try to make an sports analogy, not designed to be perfect but it should work.
It is college football playoff time and the game are:
1. Ohio State v 4 USF (they finally felt sorry for them)
2. Alabama v 3 LSU
Ohio State is a juggernaut that year and has a #1 offense but it is almost completely pass-oriented. So they are going to clobber USF.
Alabama is a big favorite over LSU but has a very weak pass defense. Oddly the SEC has reverted to almost all run-based offenses. LSU has the #1 rated pass defense and studs at every defensive position.
If you are a huge Tide fan then you may want Alabama to get to the big game even though they are huge underdogs against Ohio State.
If your primary goal is to beat Ohio State then you would forgo your love of Alabama and route for LSU which in this scenario actually has a decent chance of beating Ohio State.
