I'm sure they do. What's your point?
The point is that the part of the state that is voting for CHS is not the part of the state that makes you say mean things about Mississippi. The part of the state that will vote entirely for Espy.
In fact, if you go and look at the entire south and do a poverty map against a electoral college map, you’ll see that there’s a high correlation between poverty and blue votes.
Why send Espy if he personifies the worst of the state?
I’m not meaning this to disparage any person, race, or creed. I get CHS sucks, but to act like Espy is the better choice “because MS sucks” doesn’t float.

What are you talking about? The thread is to discuss the results coming in.

There is also no population in the Delta. He will carry all the Western counties down Hwy. 61, but it comes down to DeSoto, Lowndes, Hinds, Rankin, and a few coastal counties.

I'm a Mississippian. I said that because that's how everyone outside of Mississippi thinks of us. In reality we are just a average state. If you like hunting and fishing you would like Mississippi.

Why is Marshall county blue? Surrounded by red this election as well

Districts red in 2016 are going blue...

This is incorrect. I had to absentee vote. They had to be RECEIVED by yesterday. They came with this in BOLD RED CAPITAL LETTERS.
I voted today so I'm not sure, but WAPT last night said that they had to be post marked by yesterday which I thought was odd with the vote today. Since you did the absentee and actually had the ballot I will assume you know more than WAPT. With that being said I will also assume WAPT was correct with the 43,000 absentee/mail-in votes as being the correct number outstanding after today's count.

Correct. The Sec. of State ordered to stop issuing them Saturday at noon. They had to be mailed in and received by Monday 5 p.m. to the representing county. I mailed mine off Friday to assure DeSoto received it today.

Coahoma, Leflore, Washington, and Warren all have decent populations.
Also the black belt regions with the golden triangle (starkville, Columbus, West Point) tend to go blue due to high black populations and colleges. Then of course Jackson.
CHS has a huge advantage as does any republican. But MS is 40% black. So she needs a solid turnout still especially against a black candidate and considering her recent remarks. Expect black turnout to be high. If McDaniel voters took their ball and went home it could be very close

You are processing this eventual republican win in a really weird manner. You ok?
