Here were the last election that forced the run-off. Hyde-Smith actually won the plurality even with another Republican in the field. Interested to see how many of the 887k voters vote, again. I would expect slower to 800k this go-around.
United States Senate special election in Mississippi, 2018
Party Candidate Votes %
Nonpartisan Cindy Hyde-Smith (incumbent) 368,536 41.5
Nonpartisan Mike Espy 360,112 40.6
Nonpartisan Chris McDaniel 146,013 16.5
Nonpartisan Tobey Bartee 12,707 1.4
Total votes 887,368 100.0

I'm sure they do. What's your point?

I think Espy has more DC connections, anyway.
Apparent by his 39 indictments the last time he was in DC.
CHS by 12 points at the end of the night!

Anyone know how they handle mail in ballots?
Per the local news last night absentee votes had to be post marked by yesterday and there where about 43,000 absentee ballots sent out.

Some counties to watch:
Hinds - Espy must get huge turnout
DeSoto - CHS must get them back out
Rankin - The GOP capital, CHS needs big margins here
Forrest - Espy needs turnout
Lee - Trump visit will impact GOTV
Harrison - both camps need big #s
Wash/Leflore - Espy turf

This is incorrect. I had to absentee vote. They had to be RECEIVED by yesterday. They came with this in BOLD RED CAPITAL LETTERS.

Hinds county will be blue (Jackson)
Madison, Rankin, Harrison(Biloxi), Jones(Laurel), Southaven counties will be red. Hyde wins

At 47% in, CHS is only carrying DeSoto County 52-47%. She had 59% in the three-way last month.

All-black jury.....and the evidence was overwhelming, I have not brought up this as a reason why I did not vote for him and voted for CHS for people that ask, but do not be naive to think he was innocent.
