This is done. Finished. Just shy of 12 pt lead with over 70% in. Still waiting on a lot of red counties including Harrison, Jackson co, and Lee. Delta sat home.

It’s over. 53 seats it is.

Having legislators that represent and stand for our values is something not to be taken for granted.

Thank God she won! I voted for her in spite of the dumbass "public hanging" comment, and I'll vote for her again if she continues to vote 100% with Trump.

Projection: Cindy Hyde-Smith (R) has defeated Mike Espy (D) in the #MSSEN runoff. But she's done so w/ an underwhelming margin for an R in MS.

Actually now that more votes came in it’s not underwhelming. Trump won the state 56-40. CHS isn’t much less so that’s impressive considering she was an awful candidate. I figured it would be a 5-7 pt win for her. Hopefully that means the Dems victories in midterms woke the GOP voters back up

True. Generally MS is redder in mid-terms because blacks and young people don't traditionally vote as high in rates of older whites...a better candidate would have won 65-35%.

Tomorrow: 50,000 Dem votes "found," Espy withdraws concession, demands manual recount.

Honestly, it’s Mississippi.. lot of country common sense folks that follow the national news a lot more than CNN thinks, they knew the importance of this seat..

No shocker here. MS is deep red with pockets of low pop blue.

CHS is a shite candidate and still won by double digits.
