Hard to screw up worse than appointing the head of the state police to put off a corruption investigation against yourself.

The MS governor appointing himself is one of the few things I can think of capable of approaching that level of stupidity.

I would it would be someone out of the Dist 3 Rep seat vacated by Harper. Someone like Michael Guess. He would have to run for the remainder of the term in the November general.

Mitch McConnell had no business begging Thad Cochran to come back for another term. This is chickens coming home to roost for Mitch holding on to senators who should've retired years ago.

This senate is one of the oldest in American history and it's no wonder they're dropping like flies.

We could have a possibility of two double barrel elections with Arizona and Mississippi depending on if McCain leaves or dies too early.

Retaining the senate is going to be a dogfight.

Thad Cochran and John McCain being in poor health in old age and still refuse to leave the senate are good examples of why we need term limits.
