Proud Mississippi claiming they are making the highest data center investments per person and beating New York, California and Texas. Somebody tell them that's not what they think it is

Consumer electricity rates are fixed long term and will not change except for the percentage tied to Nat Gas prices. Which have stayed low through all of this.

I'm really not understanding the problem with data centers. The same people opposed to these would have no issue whatsoever with giant sprawling fields of solar panels that absolutely demolished any hope of ever using that land for anything else.
Maybe if they put solar panels on the data centers these people will move on.
