No witnesses are being blocked. All 17 of the witnesses interviewed by the House are on record.
Almost all of them. One of the ones done in secret wasn’t introduced because it didn’t fit the narrative.

Miss Lindsey can't get his mascara right, this morning.

bullshite. It emboldened Dems to pull the exact shite they're doing now.

They still want a fair trial.
And, there is nothing "unfair" about the rules

I'm just talking about public perception,
The "public" is made up of a small group (us included) who 'enjoy' this stuff, a slightly larger group who pay attention a bit but don't get too worked up, and a HUGE group that barely know how to shite without stepping back into it.

We all know it's bullshite but a lot of people don't
Those will forget this happens by the time the next IG models posts her latest butt shot.

Someone notify Merriam Webster that "a few moments" has now been redefined as "22 minutes and counting."

Glad it hasn't started, I just got online.

I'll argue that Republicans won't get credit for a fair trial no matter what the do. They can allow every Democrat witness and none of the President's witnesses and if Trump is acquitted it will still be screamed from the rooftops that it was unfair. Get real.
The longer this goes on, the more it continues to benefit Trump. We see this in polling.
The closer we get to November with this still going on, the more fresh it will be in the minds of voters. The more fresh it is on the minds of voters, the more GOP members running for the House can use it as part of their platform to get Dems out of the House.
The Democrats are the ones heavily pushing witnesses even though every single fact witness (and even those who were not fact witnesses) have ended up shitting on the Dems' stance when questioned by the opposition. They are literally begging the GOP to give them rope to hang themselves.
Trump has proven his political savvy. He wants this.
All of those add up to there being little reason to not allow witnesses (unless the idea is to make the Dems demand it ala "be careful what you wish for").

Trump would have to waive executive privilege. And you don't simply willy nilly do that.
He could challenge the subpoenas if he wants, that will just drag it out longer though. We know Bolton's testimony isn't actually going to sway Republicans in favor of removal, so why block it? Just to get this over with? That's a bad look for a lot of people. Some of y'all need to get out of your bubble.

We're talking about public opinion, not the law.

How about you find me one name of a witness that testified in the Senate portion of impeachment that first didn’t testify in the House?
The House was either lazy or dishonest with the articles they brought. The jig is up. The sham is over.

Because you don't set future bad precident by waiving executive privilege.
Man, Stonehog, you pretty much always have the wrong take. Why is that?

They can't allow witnesses.
Different ballgame, different rules.
End it tomorrow or Friday.

In order "have a couple of witnesses" just like that, Trump would have to waive executive privilege.
No he doesn't. He can still claim EP, that would go to the courts and quickly to SCOTUS. My belief is the ruling would be along ideological lines (as with the recent immigration/welfare ruling) that the "charges" do not rise to the level of actual crimes and thus do not rise to the level to supercede EP.
Trump has won in court against the Dems far more than he's lost so I have to go with his record on this and agree that the Senate should call witnesses.
