This is the correct response to this latest stall tactics by the dem/media machine.
It will be another bombshell after Bolton testifies followed by another and another.
I'm not sure that they won't use whatever they start screaming about next for the next Impeachment Inquiry.

It's not the right move. It's the politically expedient move. By rights it should be dismissed immediately.

It's the right move. People were already saying Trump wouldn't be acquitted in the eyes of many if Republicans didn't bend a little on witnesses. Have a couple witnesses, take the vote, acquit Trump and move on. This allows Republicans to say they had a fair trial. Blocking witnesses would be a bad look for a lot of independents and that's who the Republicans are going after.

Democrats in the house blocked witnesses, Democrats didn’t seem to mind then?

Anyone "on the fence" at this point is ready for this to be over. I don't think the "fence sitters" are weighing 'guilt v innocence' at all. They are weighing 'Asshat R v Asshat D' and this episode is Asshat neutral

Does anyone in DC actually own a fricking clock? Damn. How hard is it to show up for one of these things on time, especially when it's going on almost directly outside your office door?

Semantics aside, it's the correct move.

Ok
I bet you believed all the women who kept popping up during kavanaugh and drug that out for a month.
Yes please. Let's treat the Dems fairly.

I believe if you're arguing on the merits of the law it absolutely is not the correct move. In fact, it's a miscarriage of justice. This should end now. But it won't.

They still want a fair trial. Blocking witnesses is a presumption of guilt. I'm just talking about public perception, not the merits of the Democrats argument. We all know it's bullshite but a lot of people don't.

Those same people are not going to accept the decision regardless of how many people testify.
Schiff and Nadler brought over a shitty product. They failed to prove there was a crime. Time for the Semate to get back to work.
There is a reason why the House is supposed to interview witnesses. They can do in committee. The entirety of the Senate and the Chief Justice of SCOTUS are being held hostage over a coup attempt.

When is this press conference taking place? Says 11:30 Eastern Time. That was 20 minutes ago.....

You clearly don't quite understand some of the more important aspects at play here. In order "have a couple of witnesses" just like that, Trump would have to waive executive privilege. And you don't simply willy nilly do that. If you don't understand why, then that's on you and you will just have to do your own research on it.

Blocking witnesses is a presumption of guilt.
The house had every opportunity to call him. This is theater.

So what? People who are on the fence about this are going to vote for Republicans because they "did the right thing"?
bullshite!!!
Who believes that nonsense?

I didn't, but having the investigation turned out to be the right move in the end. The FBI investigated, he was clean, and he got the votes because of it.
