The weak police brass failed to take the mayor in the back room and properly explain the facts of life to him.
"Just following orders?". That excuse holds no water.
And supporting the police does't mean knee-jerk approval of every dumb move they make. These Minneapolis morons have caused a major national crisis - at the worst possible time.

If the law says curfew means go inside, then go the frick inside.
If the law says you only need to be on your property, then I would not convict if someone fired live rounds back at those "police".

Humans man, humans. So every time one of perhaps a million police makes a mistake we should just all accept community liability and bun the country down?
Or perhaps you are saying we should do away with police (humans with human shortcomings) and all hide in the closet. Safely away from the multi, multi millions of criminals out there since we don't dare take the chance that one of the human police (who are governments trained btw) might mistreat one. You make a hell of a case for burning it all down and getting it all over in one fell swoop since you are begging for utopia.
I suggest we tell the criminals to quit stealing and doing drugs since you might die doing so. And for all that's holy don't fight the police since you are going to lose and there is a tiny chance you might die. Just do what they say and everybody goes home. What a quaint idea.

Its really saddening to see how many bootlickers we have Amongst Small gov minded board. These folks were on their own porch making no threats to the police. Very little sympathy for cops associated with this behavior when they get assaulted by riots. if Cops had enough self control To not kill a 100% subdued citizen, we wouldn’t have these riots in the first place. Founding fathers wrecked house over taxes being high, But these bootlickers today wouldve been pro-redcoats if the brits were killing colonists.
