it's a pretty good example of government regulation contributing to waste. milk for example has been consumed by humans for thousands of years. apparently we were able to survive without having a date on the jug for that long because its pretty damn obvious when milk has turned. but now we're conditioned to where if the milk close to or slightly past the date on the jug it is thrown out no matter if it is still fit for consumption or not.

I hate watching Friedman videos because there are no realistic possibilities of his ideology becoming a reality in this country.
I can't think of anything that can alter the current path we are on.

I trust that you stocked up on Hadacol.

I was telling this young guy yesterday that as you grow older, you start to realize that the government isn't interested in solving problems, but rather their problems.
That's why I laugh when people spout "Well if libertarian ideas are so great, why aren't we doing them?" Because it would reduce the role of people currently ruling to that of near complete insignificance. It's not rocket science.

Nope. And I never took any 'Carter's Little Liver Pills' either.

I took those - my mom swore by them.
We also had Geritol in the house but I never sampled it.

Spot on.

Nonsense.
You have time to research these products, you have time to post here.
And gaining information has exponential rewards. Once you start learning more and more about healthy lifestyles, you grow your intuitive capacity to know what is and isn't healthy, making it less necessary to research every single thing you buy.
