The idea is to pass local corporate tax and then have a global tax so they cant move business offshore and avoid the tax. Apparently g20 is on board.

Uh since all manufacturing is/or is moving to the 3rd world, shouldnt you make certain chini, vietnam, bangladesh, mexico, etc are on board? Or is that the plan, move all US business to china and then say oops?

Can they do anymore to harm America and ensure china dominates us as a country?

Imagine being so stupid as to believe foreign countries will willingly raise their corporate tax rates to keep American companies from leaving America to relocate there and bring in billions of dollars and thousands of jobs with them.

Wealthy people are not going to like this one bit. They'll have to hide out in non-G20 countries. The knock on effects that go downstream could get ugly.

That was always a cruel misnomer. Those were not free market deals.

This is exactly why marxism must be a global movement. Exactly. There can be no havens, or everybody will flee to the havens. That’s not because marxism is attractive. Marxism is something to be escaped.

In this case, as in all others, capitalism will eventually win out because capitalism depends on human nature instead of fighting it. When leaders in Mexico, or India, or China, or all of them realize they can become extravagantly wealthy at the expense of U.S. policy, they’ll do it.

That's why Marxists have to build walls to keep people in while America builds walls to keep them out (or at least used to).

Raising corporate and capital gains taxes will not attract capital and will probably drive capital away

It tends to find it’s path of least resistance

They know if they tax as they wish, we'll need walls to keep people IN instead of walls to keep people OUT.

A global minimum tax isn't going to curb an abundance of cheap labor. It will be more disruptive to tax haven Hong Kong than China.
