Jury finds MyPillow founder defamed former employee for a leading voting equipment company

A federal jury in Colorado on Monday found that one of the nation’s most prominent election conspiracy theorists, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell, defamed a former employee for a leading voting equipment company after the 2020 presidential election.
The jury found that two of Lindell’s statements about Eric Coomer, the former security and product strategy director at Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems, including calling him a traitor, were defamatory. It ordered Lindell and his online media platform, formerly known as Frankspeech, to pay Coomer $2.3 million in damages, far less than the $62.7 million Coomer had asked for to help send a message to discourage attacks on election workers.
“This is hurting democracy. This is misinformation. It’s not been vetted and it needs to stop,” Charles Cain, one of Coomer’s attorneys, told jurors in closing arguments Friday.

Wonder what John Barron thinks about this? I heard he thinks Lindell is a neocon.

Thanks for the clarification. The judge was super weird at the beginning of the case, saying it was clearly defamation in all 10 charges, but the question was liability/malice.
I corrected the title

"Lindell stood firm and won".....He won so much that he's appealing and is ordered to pay $2 mil

Now do Flaccid Fox News in similar circumstances.
Then GFY.

I wasn't even trying to be a dick to VoxDawg. I just know I saw a headline yesterday that he lost something, so went back and looked at it. Based Pillow Merchant should just lay low after something like this, but it's not his style.

Lindell supports helping Israel fight wars they started??

He is appealing because the leftist judge would not let a lot of evidence be presented.

Why? Every major news network drug his name through the mud for months and basically had him convicted in the court of public opinion. Now he can come out and basically say a big frick you to all of them.

And with all this litigation, there still has been NO discovery conducted to see if, in fact, Dominion engages in stealing elections.

Eric Coomer has been lawsuit-happy when it comes to folks questioning The Most Secure Election in Our Nation's History. He has a potential suit filed against Patrick Byrne that could potentially be heard this fall in federal court (Denver, IIRC) that could have some fireworks attached to it.
Across the board, the biggest revelation from this trial seems to have been the role of "blockers" who were actively seeking to suppress or kill entirely any manner of evidence that calls The Most Secure Election in Our Nation's History into question. Folks like J. Alex Halderman (who testified in GA state legislature hearings that he could openly hack a Dominion machine with a pen) contradicting himself in other states' cases, like Colorado.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Halderman was absolutely one of the expert witnesses who have said that the tampering of the election tabulation machines is possible... but it totally didn't happen.
"Trust me, bro" is what the kids like to say these days when they are trying to cast doubt on things like DOGE's findings.

Thanks for posting. It's telling that neither Democrats nor Republicans want to get to the bottom of the Dominion question. Tina Peters in Colorado seemed to prove that Dominion can alter the outcomes of elections. Her reward? A lengthy jail sentence.
That's why I was hopeful with the various Dominion suits. I haven't been able to find ONE that allowed discovery about election tampering.
It's like George Zimmerman's case against Benjamin Crump et al for the Trayvon Martin Hoax (the substitution of a fake witness who was the star for the prosecution). After years, and at least two courts, NO discovery was allowed...no deposition of Crump. The case was dismissed before the facts came out.

You have to repsect the shite out of Lindell for taking on the leftist tainted judiciary in CO and for the most part winning his court battle.
Don't forget, Fox News and Newsmax were threatened with defamation lawsuits from Dominion and Smartmatic and between them they shelled out hundreds of million of dollars to settle their lawsuits.

I hope that the latest 5 months of lawfare + judicial coup will wake folks up to the black robe firewall that protects the unelected administrative state from anything that designs to challenge their rule.
That's why I sneer at people who tout the stat of the 61 of 63 cases that Trump filed (or electors filed on his behalf) were disallowed. Look at the seemingly endless wave of injunctions filed in 2025 that essentially say the Executive Branch can't government the Executive Branch, and then tell me these same activist judges (or their spiritual brethren) weren't a factor in stopping the merits of the cases being heard in 2020.
