Even if the procedural path exists, Lee’s confidence that it would succeed depends on assumptions about Democratic behavior, republican unity, senate scheduling, and political incentives that haven’t been demonstrated.
So what you’re saying is that since it might be hard and it might not work, they shouldn’t try. You oppose the bill and I think you’re afraid if they tried they might succeed. I think Thune and Corynyn are afraid to try for the same reason.

Never been a fry master, and I understand you think those would be beneath someone of your intellect, however, I’m pretty sure I had to fill out an I-9 that required proof of my citizenship for every job I’ve had including my stint as a waiter in college.

Notice how every step of your argument requires you to tell me what I secretly believe. That’s because you’ve stopped defending the claim and started inventing motives for anyone who questions it. If Lee’s position is as strong as you think it is, it shouldn’t require mind-reading to defend.

Considering the first step of your argument required not knowing what the actual filibuster rules were, you should probably refrain from telling me about inventing motives for questioning his position.

California law, like the law of every state, prohibits noncitizens from voting in any state or federal election.
Iirc, eligibility is (or was) determined by the worker behind the counter at the DMV.
In short, once on a roll, they (or someone claiming to be them) would he able to vote forever.
Legalized cheating is what I would call that.

How is this different from Alabama or Louisiana, or any other state? Registration always involves an applicant and someone on the other side of the desk.

Yeah starting with him

In California, they can give illegals a license. It was supposed to note that the ID was not valid for voter registration purposes. It would seem as though the (D)MV workers may have forgotten to do that step.
Here is the list of states that allow illegals to drive:
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Hawaii
Illinois
Maryland
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Nevada
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Oregon
Rhode Island
Utah
Vermont
Virginia (only recently)
Washington
Outside of Utah, the rest are all blue states.
That could (probably does) equate to millions of Dem voters, as a Drivers License equates to voter registration in those states.
Again, the (D)MV workers are whom our election integrity seems to rest upon.
