Then why sell the bill as Ukraine aid funding bill?

Sell it as a supplemental weapons defense bill. The bill would probably receive more support.

It needs to be labeled as welfare for Raytheon and Lockheed, and then charity for the Biden campaign lobbyist.

We could do that by bombing Paraguay. Is that a good idea?

I think he is referring to "our" weapons systems "in" ukraine already.

Just a missile from a Patriot system is 4 million a pop. And according to cargo pants they shoot down about three hundred and fifty a day.

I thought MTG was nuts. But I now support her attempts to remove this swamp rat. What a damned traitor.

When will we find a Republican who isn’t a traitor?

Here is the best-kept secret about U.S. military aid to Ukraine: Most of the money is being spent here in the United States.

That’s right: Funds that lawmakers approve to arm Ukraine are not going directly to Ukraine but being used stateside to build new weapons or to replace weapons sent to Kyiv from U.S. stockpiles. Of the $68 billion in military and related assistance Congress has approved since Russia invaded Ukraine, almost 90 percent is going to Americans, one analysis found.

But you wouldn’t know that from the actions of some U.S. lawmakers. When Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (R) joined a United Auto Workers picket line in October at the Jeep assembly plant in Toledo, he said he wanted to “show some support for the UAW workers” in his state. Yet he has not shown the same solidarity with the UAW workers in Lima, Ohio, who are churning out Abrams tanks and Stryker combat vehicles for Ukraine thanks to the military aid that Congress has approved. Vance opposes Ukraine aid, as does Rep. Jim Jordan (R), whose House district includes Lima.

Ohio voters might have expected their elected leaders to be pushing the (reluctant) Biden administration to give Ukraine more Lima-produced tanks and vehicles — or to require that more of them be included in the aid package for Ukraine that Congress will soon take up. Instead, Vance and Jordan are fighting to stop Ukraine from receiving any more union-made tanks and combat vehicles from America’s only tank factory.

It's so big, we give most of it away to fricks that don't like us.

It's great right?

I think what Johnson is saying we need to replenish our stocks and those stocks go straight to Ukraine and then down the road another replenish our depleted stocks bill and the cycle then repeats itself.

The three letter agencies will make sure there's not one. That's why they can't do anything with Trump. DJT really doesn't give a frick what skeletons they think they dig up on him. It really is amazing the turn around Johnson did after the FBI raided/visited his church. Maybe they told him he might not be so lucky next time. Wink wink.

Then why sell the bill as Ukraine aid funding bill?

Because with out Ukraine taking our old weapons, we don't have a reason to build new ones
