If Roger is right and dems are just "reminding" soldiers that they dont have to obey unlawful orders, than Trump is similarly reminding dems that sedition is punishable by death.

see how that works?

If Trump is such a bad arse tough guy, then he absolutely should begin proceedings to have democratic congressmen put to death. Do it now, before the midterm elections. Go right ahead.

If the Dims can point to Trump about illegal orders without citing a single incident of him issuing an illegal order then Trump can point to the idea of sedition without citing a single individual.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. At least for now, the days of virtue signaling and calling names making the R's bow/bend/buckle in fear are gone. Trump punches back. And y'all can't stand it after decades of having the R's bow/buckle/bend at the first exclamation of "racist" or "push grandma off the cliff".

What are these so-called "illegal orders" these people are talking about? The people in that video can't tell you other that "Orange Man Bad!"

I think slo is one of the best trolls here. He mixes facts occasionally with wildly wrong interpretations about function.

The videos I’ve watched are inappropriate and I think they should be stripped of any privilege in Congress, but I haven’t seen them say anything illegal.

not to follow unlawful orders is a core of all training for police, military and others that have a lawful duty to follow orders.

We have gotten away from the principle of free speech. I may not agree with what you say, but I’ll defend with my life for your right to be a dumbass.

Edit
The Democratic Party is very good at being vague when asked about the illegal orders. Their inability to point to one shows they are just targeting the casual, emotional voter. It worked in NYC as they elected a mayor who ran on a platform where he doesn’t have the authority to do half of what got him elected.

I think this is the full text of the video.
quote:

Opening narration/visuals: The lawmakers appear on screen in a split-screen format, speaking directly to camera against a neutral background with American flags. Soft, somber music plays.]

Sen. Elissa Slotkin (MI, former CIA analyst): “We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now. Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk.”

Rep. Jason Crow (CO, former Army Ranger): “We served alongside you. We took the same oath you did—to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

Sen. Mark Kelly (AZ, former Navy captain and astronaut): “That oath requires you to follow lawful orders. But it also demands that you refuse unlawful ones. The law is clear: You must disobey illegal commands, no matter who issues them.”

[Cut to group statement, with all six speaking in unison or rotating close-ups:]

All/Collective narration: “We are hearing from servicemembers and intelligence professionals who are deeply concerned about the direction of current policies. Orders that violate the Constitution, international law, or basic human rights cannot be followed. Remember: ‘I was just following orders’ is not a defense. It never has been, and it never will be.”

Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (PA, former Air Force officer): “You have the training and the moral courage to recognize when an order crosses the line—whether it’s targeting civilians without due process, undermining democratic institutions, or engaging in actions that erode our alliances abroad.”

Rep. Chris Deluzio (PA, former Navy JAG officer): “We stand with you. If you face pressure to act against your oath, reach out to us, to your chain of command’s legal advisors, or to oversight bodies like the Inspector General. You are not alone in upholding the rule of law.”

Rep. Maggie Goodlander (NH, former NSC and Justice Department official): “Our democracy depends on your integrity. By refusing unlawful orders, you protect not just America, but the values we’ve all sworn to defend. Stay strong. We have your back.”
I believe this is the full and complete text of the video.
[Closing narration/visuals: Fade to text overlay with resources for reporting unlawful orders, e.g., DoD Inspector General hotline. Music swells patriotically.]

Sen. Slotkin (closing): “Thank you for your service. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.”

I think it was irresponsible. It was a cute wink and nod to be insubordinate IMO. But, they can hide behind the fact they aren't asking anyone to do anything illegal. That said, Trump took the bait somewhat and comes across looking stupid and like an authoritarian retard. He should have just said, I agree with the substance of the video, please point out my illegal orders.
