Gun stores in Michigan are being “cleaned out” by people buying firearms for the first time over fears that there could be massive civil unrest following tomorrow’s presidential election.

Detroit gun shop owner Bill Kucyk told Sky News that his store was being inundated by people who don’t really know how to purchase or handle weapons but are desperate to acquire them.

“They don’t even know the process,” said Kucyk. “They just want to buy guns – and I’m getting about a hundred calls a day about it,” he added.

Kucyk said he was struggling to keep up with demand as people clamor to stock up on guns before what many fear could be weeks of intense rioting should the election result be contested.

“Normally I’d have about a hundred guns in this cabinet but they’ve been sold twice over. The store has been cleaned out several times,” he commented.

There's a reason I made my last firearm purchase in September. Then that damn ubiquitous boating accident a few weeks ago, and poof, no guns for me.

How many guns did you lose in this accident? How deep is the water? I am in good shape. I do have a 22-250 being shipped that I won't be able to pick up till mid Nov. Went ahead and ordered ammo ahead of time.

You think those same people who want to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights are voting for the party that wants to take it away?

I think not!

I was talking to a person at an online gun supplier. He said normal years they sell about 5,000. To date this year they have sold 50,000 and if they could have gotten the inventory they think it would have been 250,000.

Guns and ammo are expensive right now. Glad I stocked up years ago.

Anyone who waited until this week or even this year to buy a gun or ammo then it is your own fault.

I have a friend who saw this coming.(he's a smart guy)

This friend of mine made sure after 2012 that he would never be left out to dry again.

This friend went and bought 2-3 boxes of ammo every pay check. 40-60 rounds every 2 weeks. Sometimes more, but always min. 2 boxes. He bought 9mm and .223/5.56.

Friend was able to stock up and then when Covid started, he was well prepared and even able to help his friends not have to panic and sold them some at cost. What a guy he is.

More than one and less than ten. Along with a thousand rounds or so. It was an expensive accident.

Sudden squalls at the lake when you're out crappie fishing with a 12 gauge probably isn't considered proper boating safety. Cost me dearly.
