Why was there a question of whether this particular judge could be impartial in a suit Trump was involved in?

I predict the Donald will have good things to say about the judge now...and so he should.

Why can't some of you just admit that the judge did his job and God Emperor was wrong for what he said about him?
Because to them, it's disloyalty
You're talking about a handful of grown men who would quite seriously break the barriers of heterosexuality upon Trump's request.

Some "smart lawyers" told Trump that the Trump U. case should've been dismissed on summary judgement. It wasn't. The guy's parents are Mexican. Trump wanted to build a wall.
Ergo, there's no way that guy couldn't be fair to Trump.
Or was your question rhetorical?

Trump didn't attack the judge for his Mexican heritage. He thought the judge should recuse himself from a lawsuit involving Trump university since the judge publicly had made disparaging comments about Trump in the past.
Here's Trump's quote. You tell me if you think Trump is attacking the guy for his Mexican heritage.
quote:
I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump, a hater. He’s a hater. His name is Gonzalo Curiel and he is not doing the right thing. So what happens is the judge, who happens to be, we believe, Mexican, which is great. I think that’s fine. You know what? I think the Mexicans are going to end up loving Donald Trump when I give all these jobs, OK? I think they’re going to end up. I think they’re going to love me. So I’ll be seeing you in November either as president—and I will say this. I think Judge Curiel should be ashamed of himself. I think it’s a disgrace.

That's a big leap on the writer's part. Trump questioned whether or not the guy could be impartial in a lawsuit Trump was involved in. That's a long way from attacking him for his Mexican heritage

I bekeieve it is because of his involvement with La Raza. An extreme group.

Because the good judge is a member of the Mexican racist group la raza. You already knew that you just like to play dumb or maybe it's not an act.
