Sure, but the more important part of that statement was the next part. The institutions promoting crypto-Communism were created by (that subset of) hippies and are still being used to spread crypto-Communism today.

All the crazy shite people are freaking out about today are largely originating from (a subset of) boomers, and it's all being proliferated by their institutions (news, media, etc.).

Again, the intelligentsia is dominated by boomers (like all other institutions of power today outside of tech, which is largely dominated by Gen X).
