It addresses a problem that isn't proportional to the allocated resources. The money and resources used would be better spent elsewhere. Even better, we could fix the problem with a net income to taxpayers.

Here’s a little information that was being reported on OAN back in June..
I was watching OAN this morning and they occasionally throw a running tally of illegal immigration numbers and costs, similar to the US debt clock. Here’s what it showed,
Cost for illegal immigrants today: +$295 million
Running total of illegals entering country as of 6/27/19: +670k
Estimated total cost of illegal immigration 2019: +$130 billion
Total number of illegal aliens currently in the US: +25 million
Sources: DHS, Center for Immigration Studies, Institute for Defense Analyses, Yale, MIT, Federation for American Immigration Reform
The Dims want more of this...a lot more.

Well that sure is an opinion.
The GAO estimates illegals cost the US anywhere from 2-19 billion annually. Enhance border security seems like a prudent response to me.
