You are right Powerman, this was the "good" reason:
The press is blaming high rents on Air BnB and tourism. They have always had tourism, but the problem is the 10 million migrants gotta live somewhere and thats causing rents to rise.
Same in the US, we pretend letting 20 million illegals in the country has not affected housing costs, medical insurance, jobs, inflation, crime, etc.
