Exactly this. Any 3rd grader can google image search "Trump eating McDonalds" and see he loves fast greasy food..

If Trump got them gourmet food, he would have been called "elitist, out of touch".

If Trump got them Mexican food, it would have been "cultural appropriation".

That is how these people operate. The only question they ask is: "How do we frame our attack this time?"

It's also important to note that if this were Obama, the press would be fawning about how he's "fun" and can "connect with the people".

There's actual nothing that exists that would be much more American than McDonald's food.

So the writer is way off base. It was more of a truly nationalist meal, and that's fine with me

Then maybe you should wise up and stop supporting the party of Keith Ellison, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, etc. You support a political party that, just from looking at your gender/race combination, thinks you're symbolic of the biggest problem on the planet.

Buy a vowel and get a clue.....

The author of this sentence deserves a brick upside the head.

My guess is the man was in a pinch. Nobody in the federal kitchen because Nancy will not give him his wall, Still hospitable enough to provide food to his guest.

If he'd served them a lavish meal, THEN the press would pillory him for wasting money on a superfluous luncheon for privileged athletes while the government was in the middle of a shutdown.

So, they ignore the hundreds of pictures of Trump (a fricking billionaire, even if only on paper, who owns and licenses entire lines of food and hospitality products) eating fast food - PARTICULARLY MCDONALD'S because he clearly likes it.

So, Trump is actually black?

Who knew?

That's racist. Clinton was the first black president.

I don't think it was racist, but serving junk food on silver platters is a perfect metaphor for tRump's presidency.

Well it ain't cheap, but a lot of French cuisine is obsessed with butter. Yeah, yeah, Red Wine.

I'd really like to see a comprehensive study of what all the additives in food do (and in conjunction with one another).

Even so simple a thing as using corn syrup in soda, as opposed to sugar.

But everyone is so much less active than they were circa 1975 or so too.

Something ain't right.
