I am a fan of what Ronald Reagan was for the right in this country. That being said, the Republican Party post-Reagan has been a complete doormat.

Frankly, the "old" GOPe party likely wouldn't exist in any recognizable form except as a opposition party in the South, because the Dems would be about ready to roll for their 5th straight Presidential win - it would be Tim Kaine's turn with, probably Booker or Harris as his Veep for 2024.
