I’m admitting that there is a war in Iran whether Constitutional protocols were honored or ignored.

Sure it has, especially in New Orleans which has a pretty substantial illegal population.
Cost of goods goes up, cost of rent goes up, available spots in schools goes down. Just because you scored a cheap maid out of it doesn’t mean you haven’t been negatively affected.
You just choose to overlook the negatives in favor of emotions about “helping” others. You are the frog in the pot.

Also a plethora of minor crime just flat out doesn’t get reported anymore. Then police will simply code things in a lesser way to affect the statistics.
Several years ago when I had some lovely north Baton Rouge section 8 hoodrat attempt to break into my place in the middle of the night, it took BRPD over 2 hours to respond when I live in the middle of downtown. When the rat finally did show up, he simply coded it as “vandalism” instead of what it actually was, an attempted breaking and entering robbery.

Doubtful.
In colonial days they didn't even have prisons. If you were convicted of any felony, you were hanged. If you were convicted of a misdemeanor, you were fined and were tarred and feathered, put in the stocks, etc. immediately.
Usually the time between your arrest and sentence being carried out was less than a week. All punishments were public.
And the murder rate per capita was six times what it is now.
The likelihood of being caught is what deters crime. Not harsh punishments. It's been studied and the findings correlate with real life observations.
And before someone brings up El Salvador, I would argue that you're not seeing as much of a deterrent effect there as you are that they simply locked up almost all the criminals.

Yeah, but in order to do that they had to become a police state (which ostensibly you'd be against based on the title of the thread) that ignores due process and has locked up a lot of innocent people along with the criminals.
Anybody who advocates for that kind of society shouldn't be worried about flock cameras. The freedoms and civil rights abuses there are a hell of a lot worse than Flock cameras.
