Trump has never been a small government conservative
perhaps not - but he doesn't tolerate waste or fraud - and demands efficiency and competence.

the possibility that Massie himself is up to the same type activity, in particular the self-serving agenda part?
For what?
He shoots his Ar15s on his homestead, drinks raw milk from his cows, builds things, tweets out WHY he votes the way he votes, has a sense of humor, and doesn't have an AIPAC advisor, name me one other politician in DC that is closer to being a regular conservative guy than Massie.

And he’s got higher aspirations than the current office he holds currently. Elected office. Which requires an election. Which to win he must out gain his eventual opponent (Rand Paul’s eventual open seat in the Senate). So yeah, don’t think for one second that he doesn’t have that in mind in pretty much every public move he makes. Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news on that.

Rep. Thomas Massie is the actual hero we deserve.
Can you tell us what Massie has actually accomplished with his No vote? What spending bill hasn't passed because Massie voted No?
If Massie's No vote hasn't actually stopped any spending and I care about outcomes more than words, then why should I praise him?
If Massie's No vote hasn't actually stopped any spending, then wouldn't a different path be more effective than a 0% success rate?
You people think Massie should continue voting No and then talk a good game on Twitter when he fails to change anything. I think he should work with his party to reduce spending where he can. One way produces results, the other just allows people to crow on the internet and feel smug.
If Massie was able to work with his party and remove even $100m in spending, then wouldn't that be better than not removing any at all? To me, an "unprincipled" man who actually improves things even slightly will always be more useful than a "principled" man too ineffective to create change.
That's how I see it anyways. Just through pure logic and results, no emotional drivel to convince myself that someone with a 100% failure rate is the hero we deserve.

I honestly don't keep up with the career aspirations of Thomas Massie. However, if he is to take Rand Paul's Senate seat, do you not think Rand himself wouldn't endorse Massie? Or the fact that he's convincing won his re-election bids means he now must become some DC turd to be a Senator?
Of all of the seats for him to try and win, Rand's is the easiest of all 100 for a guy like Massie.

A good summary for your comments would be: This person is against crime and corruption but that didn't stop crime or corruption so I condemn him.
As for results, over the past decade, everyone that voted differently than Massie got the following results:
Debt has gone from about $19T to $38T - doubled.
Education in this country - worse, yet funded at increasing levels.
Vehicles - super expensive.
Housing - super expensive.
Food - super expensive.
Healthcare - on a path to implosion.
Govt surveillance and censorship - worse.
Strength of the dollar - declining.
Massie is one of just a few people that did not affirmatively vote for the above results; he submitted bills to repeal things leading to these results or outright abolish things like the Dept of Ed; and yet, that is the guy you have a problem with, and then want to tell people you are using logic and not emotion.
If people started supporting Massie, slowly but surely other House members would begin feeling the pressure and vote with him. The only way to avoid the results above is to vote with Massie, not in opposition to him. You say he should work with the people in his party, well, those people work with Massie but at least one of them works for you. If you care about results, put pressure on that person.

Why can't Massie just be a Trump dick rider?
Why does he side with Democrats? He also worked with MTG and Epstein. Was against Iran being disarmed. He does more stupid things than good.
