Well, the footage I viewed above seemed to indicate it was both intentional and malicious. Yet even after viewing that, I still wouldn’t rule out the possibility — however remote — that it was some drunken (or otherwise impaired driver) intent on avoiding jail no matter what was in his way. As more details emerge about the background of who was behind this evil act, it certainly it will be easier to draw more conclusions about the driver’s actual intentions.

Was the driver targeting based on race? In one of the videos linked above, it appears the driver made a concerted effort to avoid pedestrians while in another — and here I am referring specifically to the rooftop footage in which the vehicle plowed through the band — it appears the driver purposely ran over pedestrians.

I would hope they wouldn't charge the officer for firing his gun at the vehicle. I wish he would have emptied his gun at the perpetrator.
