I’ll tell you why: because in all likelihood you’re not right about what you’re discussing and thinking to begin with. So it’s a flawed premise before it even gets off the ground. And I truly don’t mean that as an insult. I mean it genuinely so as to say the dim view you and others have of the situation, again, in all likelihood it most likely ain’t quite such a glum scenario. As I mentioned in another thread, it’s each our own responsibility to set reasonable, realistic, responsible expectations. You’re no help to anyone including yourself if you fail or refuse to do so.

Graham, et al took what Trump suggested and ran with it because it was a way to attach Trump to the spending.
Trump shouldn't have said anything, but I don't know how he couldn't. This congress was spending that money and NO ONE was stopping them. You and I both know Trump knew this. He gave Johnson enough rope to hang himself.

MAGA needs to be focused on winning elections at this point. Not swapping speakers every time they don’t get their way.
