Yeah, cause everyone knows how tough guys in federal prison have it when they go in for illegally moving money around oversees.

Right up there with child rapists.

It's frightening what happened to him.

Everyone should be up in arms over it.

Pretty much sets a precedent that anyone can be plucked off the street and thrown into solitary confinement.

Some out there happy about this have a very short sightedness and would probably be shitty chess players.

This post is retarded. He's in jail because of money laundering that was uncovered during muellers investigation

Because he stated a fact that he's being charged with witness tampering, which is why his home confinement was revoked? Is this supposed to be a safe space?

There is fairly recent legislation (2015-2016) regarding solitary confinement in federal prisons The bill was sponsored by Dick Durbin, Corey Booker, Patrick Leahy and Al
Franken.

Give it a gander.

Since 4 Democrats sponsored it, obviously we need to leave solitary confinement the way it is, and reform would be bad.

Yes it’s normal, when someone like him can’t be in “gen pop” (general population) due to a separation order for safety,” white collar defense attorney and Law&Crime trial analyst Caroline Polisi said. “Prisons are so understaffed that there is just no way they could otherwise guarantee his safety if he were allowed to access the public areas of the facility, given the high profile nature of his case. …  He’s not getting anything special just because he’s Paul Manafort. This is the way they’d do it for anyone else if they felt his safety was in question.”

Criminal defense attorney and Law&Crime trial analyst Julie Rendelman had a similar take.

“It is not unusual when a ‘celebrity’ or well known individual is incarcerated in a federal facility to be put in this type of confinement,” Rendelman said, “when there is concern for that individual’s safety i.e. another inmate might go after Manafort to make a name for themselves in the jail.”

This goes along with what Dowd said, when he told Fox News, “The warden is concerned that someone would violently attack Paul just for street cred.”

See the Law I posted above.

Do you really think Paul Manofort is a celebrity that might catch hell out of solitary?

Are you fricking kidding me?

It is strong arm tactics.

It’s the kind of shite your side would have screamed about not 10 years ago before you all went 180 and went crazy.

Monafort was campaign man for Putin candidates in.Ukraine.

Same now... Money laundering.the Ukrainian payments was obvious low hanging fruit before Monafort dropped out as trump mgr.

Hired the best.

Op quoted bit Complaining about solitary preventing a defense sounds like nonsense. He can see his team..
