Every time I ever hear El Segundo I think about Fred Sanford from Sanford and Son talking about it.

I worked on a project there about 15 years ago. Loved the area. Was offered a job but couldn't afford to live close to the refinery. Didn't want to travel over an hour each way.

I remember it being that way in the 80s when last I was there. Had two uncles that lived in El Segundo. The air traffic over their houses was insane. We actually lived exactly three miles from the Redondo Beach pier.

As an interesting aside and anecdote, my dad actually knew Chuck Norris from back when he opened his very first dojo on Anza.
