- Moderators were the worst I’ve seen. Any unbiased observers should be able to admit that

- Trump definitely took the bait on a few occasions and missed opportunities to bury her. The middle of the debate wasn’t great for him, but he closed strong

- Kamala was better than expected, which isn’t saying much considering what was expected.

- This doesn’t move the needle in either direction

Exactly.

It changed nothing. Status quo from both candidates.

That’s what happens when you rehearse and already know the questions.

Kamala needed the knockout punch and it sounds like she didn't get it.

It did move Polymarket back to even when Trump had a 3 point edge prior to the debate.

But with that said, those numbers should even back out to where they should be within a week or two.

That’s a betting site 2 months before the election. I understand your point but I don’t take much from something like that until a couple days before Election Day.

I agree with this. Polls will probably reflect a slight Kamala bump for the next week or so before returning back to where they were earlier today.

3nd only to Candy Crowley who looked like an angry woman’s rugby player who wanted to charge his podium.

Relative to her baseline which is an unlikeable low charisma candidate she did well IMO

Gambling site that's whole purpose is in baiting suckers into losing their money. Those sites are fun to post for the lols but I wouldn't read anymore into them than that.

I hope you are correct. I thought it was a poor showing for Trump.

Agree.

Kamala remained largely on her script and managed to bait Trump into biting a few times.

Pravda-ABC provided the expected assist at several points but honestly that’s not a new feature. Even Mittens had to debate Obama AND Candy Crowley back in ‘12 (and I’m no Mittens fan).

I can’t imagine/fathom there remain a ton of squishy undecideds by this point but to whatever extent there are, MSM sound bites will paint Kamala as in control and DJT as rambling and unfocused.

All in all, no previous declared Trump voters will be swayed and no previous declared anti Trump voters will be swayed.

So much material to eat her alive but Trump just isn’t as polished to do it.

But let’s be honest, it’s not closing the divide

How bad are the journalist at CNN? If the question of whether or not immigrants are eating people's pets is the biggest problem we are facing as a country (I thknk one of them said its racist and not sure how) then we are fricked as a country.

My main one was when they were discussing immigration, which is his knockout punch.

Kamala tries to divert it to people leaving rallies early. She’s successful in doing so because Trump spent the next 45 seconds talking about rally size. Granted he did get back to immigration, but he failed to pound it home and was a bit all over the place.

She immediately called for another debate after rejecting Trump’s idea for having 2 more prior to this debate. She was disappointed. She has been in hiding for 2 months and needed this debate. ABC did everything to help her and she still basically just did ok.
