I think I actually agree with Maggie to some degree on this one.
I can't see Barr, who does not give many one on one interviews, and especially not in the middle of a shitstorm involving Trump, him and the DOJ, without there being communications between the WH and the DoJ.

I believe the trump /barr kerfuffle is planned.
the reason is it draws attention away from federal planning on how to handle the corona virus.
remember that b Clinton used to launch missiles at aspirin factories to draw attention. tweets are much cheaper
